This is a comprehensive 2 day classroom introduction to entertainment industry rigging presented by master rigger Dick Delay. Students will be introduced to the concepts of bridle length calculations, bridle tensions and load distribution. The course will also cover knots, hitch strength factors, rigging tools, temporary rigging components, rigging hardware, hardware inspection, temporary rigging hitches and proper safety procedures for working with and around rigging equipment.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LOCATION FOR THIS CLASS HAS CHANGED TO HALL 8 in the Labor Temple !!!
This class will be held from 9 am to 4 pm on Monday, June 24 and Tuesday June 25 in Hall 8 of the Labor Temple. There will be a one hour walk away lunch break each day.
This class is a prerequisite for the “Arena Ground Rigging” class to be held in July at McCaw Hall. Class size is limited to 40 students. “Introduction to Rigging” and “Arena Ground Rigging” together satisfy the Local 15 Apprentice program requirements.
