- August 12, 2019 - August 15, 2019
10:00 am - 4:00 pm
This class will explore when, and how, to drape a pattern, when to draft a pattern, and when to integrate the two. During this four-day class, students can expect to pattern and mock up a bodice, a skirt, and a dress. This is a chance to experience Val Mayse’s philosophy of patterning in a supportive and pressure free environment. This class will be a good fit with Val’s next class “Formula-free Drafting: A Draper’s Approach” but can be taken alone.
This is an advanced class intended for drapers, first hands, and experienced stitchers who are ready to move ahead. Bring your own cutting shears, sewing snips, and paper scissors; a clear ruler, and a curved ruler, if you have one.
This 4 day class will be held from Monday, August 12 to Thursday August 15 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Seattle Opera Costume Shop. Enrollment is limited to 10 students so Register Now!
